Networks and tools

Resources, tools and networks dedicated to researchers, designed to enhance
their skills, support professional growth paths and foster dialogue with
the research community at regional, European and international levels.

In this section, you can find out more about useful platforms and tools to
help you navigate the research and innovation system, reflect on your
skills, and discover professional networks active in the world of doctoral
training and research.

Career development tools

ResearchComp is the European Competence Framework for Researchers: it helps to recognise and describe the skills acquired through research, to guide professional development pathways, and to make one’s profile more accessible also outside the academic sphere.

It is also useful for universities and training organisations that design programmes, and for organisations seeking advanced skills.

ResearchComp’s Self-Assessment Tool is an online self-assessment questionnaire that supports skills mapping and helps identify strengths and areas for development. It can be used as a basis for planning your next steps and presenting your profile more effectively.

International partnerships and networks

Research-ER is a member of the PRIDE Network Association, which was founded in 2017 to represent the community of professionals involved in doctoral training in Europe and around the world.

The network promotes the exchange of experiences, the comparison of practices and international collaboration on research training and professional development topics.
