Research-ER is ART-ER’s regional programme aimed at enhancing the skills and employability of PhD students and researchers in Emilia-Romagna, designed in collaboration with the region’s universities. Since 2019, it has been promoting initiatives to support the development of highly qualified profiles, integrating soft skills and tools related to innovation management.

Direct meetings with businesses and public authorities to foster mutual exchange of views on challenges, opportunities and trajectories in innovation. An opportunity for PhD students to gain first-hand insight into how organisations develop and manage innovation processes and, at the same time, for organisations to engage with young researchers who possess advanced skills and fresh perspectives on technological matters of interest.

Training programmes (including residential ones) and initiatives that explore methods of collaboration between innovation stakeholders, with a focus on leveraging know-how, open innovation, assessment and negotiation. The aim is to understand how businesses innovate and what kinds of partnerships can work.

Direct meetings with businesses and the public sector, including through process challenges, to identify real needs and opportunities. It includes dedicated matching tools to identify highly qualified candidates and make them more visible to organisations based in the region.

Networking and community-building activities to strengthen links between PhD students and researchers in Emilia-Romagna. Initiatives to share experiences, build relationships and maintain active connection with the local community.
