The Emilia-Romagna Region has established a framework of policies and measures aimed at attracting, retaining and developing highly specialised talent, implemented in part through Regional Law No. 2 of 21 February 2023 “Attracting, retaining and promoting highly specialised talent in Emilia-Romagna”, the first regional law approved in Italy on this subject.
ART-ER
ART-ER Attractiveness, Research Territory is the Emilia-Romagna Joint-Stock Consortium established to promote the region’s sustainable growth through the development of innovation and knowledge, and by enhancing the region’s attractiveness and internationalisation. It supports the Emilia-Romagna Region in developing initiatives and programmes aimed at attracting and retaining talent. It has a physical presence in every province of Emilia-Romagna, within the regional Technopoles, through its Talent Hubs, to contribute to the development of activities in cooperation with local partners and connect talented individuals with the opportunities available in the region.
It develops programmes such as it-ER International Talents Emilia-Romagna, designed for expats and internationals, and Research ER, which aims to enhance the skills and employability of PhD students and researchers in Emilia-Romagna.
