What is the Student Ambassadors Programme
The Student Ambassadors Programme of the University of Bologna is an initiative that brings together students from different countries and academic backgrounds who want to actively contribute to university life. Student Ambassadors play an important role in welcoming and supporting prospective and newly enrolled students, sharing their real experiences of studying and living in Bologna and helping others feel part of the academic community from the very beginning.
Who can apply and how the call works
The programme is open to all students currently enrolled at the University of Bologna, including international students, with priority given to those in the early stages of their degree. Applications are submitted through an online form, where candidates are asked to introduce themselves and explain their motivation. Selected students will be invited to a Kick-off Day, a first opportunity to meet the community and start planning activities together. The role lasts two years and includes both online and on-campus activities.
What does a Student Ambassador do
As a Student Ambassador, participants contribute to orientation events, welcome initiatives and communication activities, supporting international students and promoting the University of Bologna through storytelling, digital content and direct interaction with future students. Ambassadors act as a bridge between the University and its diverse student population, helping to create a more open, inclusive and international environment.
As an Ambassador you will:
- Share your personal experience of studying at the University of Bologna with prospective and incoming students
- Support international students during welcome events, open days and orientation activities
- Promote the University through social media content, interviews, videos, podcasts and events
- Take part in workshops, training sessions and community-building initiatives
